What you can expect from the job
The SAP Practice Head is a leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the SAP practice within CCS. This role requires extensive experience in SAP implementation, project management, and team leadership. The SAP Practice Head plays a pivotal role in driving business growth, ensuring client satisfaction, and maintaining operational excellence within the SAP practice.
Strategic Leadership & Growth:
Develop and execute strategic plans to drive growth and profitability of the SAP practice.
Identify market trends, customer needs, and emerging technologies to shape the future direction of the practice.
Collaborate with Management to align SAP practice goals with overall business objectives.
Build and nurture the growth ecosystem (partners, principals, vendors) to maximise the market reach.
Client Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their business requirements and providing innovative SAP solutions.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights and recommendations to optimize their SAP investments.
Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through timely delivery, quality service, and effective communication.
Team Management:
Recruit, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of SAP consultants, architects, and developers.
Provide leadership, guidance, and support to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Define clear roles and responsibilities, set performance expectations, and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage the SAP practice budget, forecasting revenue, expenses, and resource requirements.
Drive revenue growth through effective sales and business development efforts, including upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
Monitor financial performance metrics, analyse variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Project Delivery:
Oversee the successful delivery of SAP projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and quality standards.
Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
Champion best practices, methodologies, and tools to optimize project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with SAP standards, methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
Implement quality assurance processes and controls to maintain high standards of service delivery and customer satisfaction.
Stay abreast of SAP updates, certifications, and industry best practices to ensure the practice remains competitive and compliant.
Continuous Improvement:
Lead initiatives to continuously improve processes, methodologies, and tools within the SAP practice.
Foster a culture of innovation and excellence, encouraging experimentation and learning from both successes and failures.
Drive initiatives for automation, optimization, and standardization to enhance productivity and profitability.
Constantly help improve sales pitches and pre-sales/demos.
What will help you do the job well
Bachelor’s or MBA, Computer Science, or related field.
Extensive experience (typically 15+ years) in SAP consulting, with a proven track record of successful project delivery and client satisfaction.
In-depth knowledge of SAP solutions, modules, and integration architecture, with relevant certifications preferred. Knowledge and exposure to S/4HANA.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, executives, and team members.
Strategic mindset, with the ability to analyse market trends, identify opportunities, and develop actionable plans to drive growth and profitability.
Financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial management.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and drive effective solutions.
Commitment to quality, compliance, and continuous improvement, with a passion for innovation and excellence in service delivery.
Ability to inspire and manage people from diverse background across multiple age groups to work together towards common goals.
Ability to deal with uncertainty and navigate through chaotic situations.
Willingness to travel as required – domestic/ international.
Knowledge of ISMS principles and best practices.
